KF6UXT To Teach at LAFD Volunteer Fire Station in Sun Valley, CA

Our own ACS Planning Section Officer, Alberto Casanova (KF6UXT) has arranged for Mentoring Sessions at Old Fire Station 77 in Sun Valley.

Classes begin at 09:00 sharp. In fact, you would do well to come early to get a good seat and to help UXT with any set-up issues. The sessions are deliberatly just one hour long (so until 10:00 for Technicians, then from 10:00 to 11:00 for General Class exam prep.

The courses are on Saturday March 15th, 22nd, 29th and April 5 (so the remaining courses as of this posting are on March 29 and April 5).

The FCC Volunteer Examiners will will be at the station on April 5th at 13:00 (1pm) to proctor the exams. You may sit for any level of testing (e.g. Tech, General or Extra class) all on the same dime. The test does not cost a dime though - you'll need to bring the customary ARRL VE exam fee of $14 (cash or check is fine).

Good luck and have a wonderful Easter and Passover Season.

Yours, Carolyne J. Keeler, KG6TWQ
LAFD ACS Vice President
